“Room 13”

“Room 13” is a 10-minute psychological horror short that explores the thin boundary between guilt and the supernatural. The story follows a burned-out hotel night clerk who discovers that one of the rooms—Room 13—keeps getting booked by guests who vanish without a trace. As he investigates, he begins to question his reality, his sanity, and a buried secret from his own past.

Set almost entirely in a dimly lit vintage hotel, the film plays with isolation, sound design, and visual misdirection to create a slow-burning, dread-filled experience. It’s inspired by the atmospheric horror of The Shining and It Follows, but with a deeply personal character arc at its core.

This is my first horror short as a director, and I’m building a small, tightly-knit crew who want to create something genuinely chilling on a micro-budget—with high creative payoff.
